Winpack took a significant step towards sustainability with the inauguration of its first recycling plant, located in Quilicura. This initiative was born in order to recycle the post-consumer PCR of our products.

The recycling plant, with a surface area of ​​4,800 m², has allowed Winpack to eliminate polyethylene waste (both low density and low linear density) and polypropylene in our five plants nationwide. This effort has resulted in a notable reduction of our carbon footprint.

Beyond the elimination of waste, this investment has been crucial to revalue these materials, reincorporating them into our packaging products. Additionally, we have begun producing recycled raw materials for clients seeking to reduce their environmental impact by using recycled raw materials.

With this plant, we have managed to develop a circular economy in which waste generators, waste managers, our recycling plant and our stretch plant participate. This comprehensive approach has made recycling a fundamental pillar of our brand promise, underscoring our commitment to sustainability.
